An established accountancy and advisory practice with a long history of supporting a wide range of businesses is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join its dedicated payroll function. The firm provides services to organisations of all sizes, from small owner‑managed companies to large international groups, and is recognised for delivering reliable, high‑quality support across finance, tax, and payroll.


Your new role


This is a full‑time, permanent position within a busy payroll bureau environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Payroll Manager and wider team, taking responsibility for the accurate and timely delivery of weekly, four‑weekly, monthly, and annual payroll cycles. The role involves managing multiple client payrolls with varying levels of complexity and maintaining strong communication with clients and internal stakeholders.


What you'll need to succeed


  • Managing end‑to‑end payroll processing for a diverse portfolio of clients, via Iris Payrite system
  • Handling multiple payrolls across different frequencies and structures.
  • Ensuring payroll data is accurate, complete, and fully reconciled.
  • Applying auto‑enrolment requirements, including assessments, enrolments, and opt‑outs.
  • Submitting Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC.
  • Preparing and processing P32 information each month.
  • Calculating statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP, and SAP.
  • Responding to client payroll queries promptly and professionally.
  • Completing year‑end tasks, including statutory returns.
  • Supporting a high‑quality client experience and contributing to continuous service improvement.
