Hybrid Payroll Officer opportunity in Maidstone
Your new company
A public sector organisation is looking for a Payroll Officer on a permanent basis with a salary paying up to £37,000. They are looking to add to their HR team where you'll be joining them in an office based near Maidstone working on a hybrid model.
Your new role
• End to End Payroll on a monthly basis
• Fully manage and complete the payroll input
• Prepare monthly reports including finance reports, pension reports, HMRC reports and ensure all are correct and reconciled back
• Upload BACs files for monthly payments and post costs to the accounting system and reconcile relevant control accounts.
• Calculate all parental leave schedules for employees while ensuring all comply with up-to-date HMRC rates.
• Maintain information records for statutory returns
• To keep up to date with Tax & NI threshold changes along with apprenticeship levy changes.
• Administer applications to the Pension Schemes
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will need to have at least broad experience working within the payroll function as you'll be expected to hit the ground running. You will have strong attention to detail, a high level of speed & accuracy, strong communication skills, and a strong hunger to succeed.
You'll ideally have good knowledge of pension processes, salary sacrifice schemes and how these are processed through payroll
