Due to a sustained period of increased demand, they are now seeking additional support within their payroll function for an immediate start.Your new role
As a Temporary Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a high-volume, complex end-to-end payroll service. Working within a busy payroll team, you will be responsible for processing payroll from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and compliance across a large employee base. Duties will include inputting and validating payroll data, processing statutory payments and deductions, handling payroll queries, and supporting month-end activities. This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of office-based work in a central location and remote working flexibility.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have prior experience working within a high-volume payroll environment and be confident managing end-to-end payroll processes. You will have a strong understanding of payroll legislation, including statutory payments, tax, and pension deductions. Excellent attention to detail, the ability to work to tight deadlines, and strong organisational skills are essential. Experience within the public sector or working with complex payroll structures would be highly advantageous.
