Senior Payroll Clerk position based in Birmingham
Our client is a leading provider of payroll services, committed to delivering timely and accurate payroll solutions. They have instructed Hays exclusively to recruit a dedicated Senior Payroll Clerk to join their team.
They are looking for someone to join a team of five employees where you will be
- Processing the payroll for over 2000 employees
- Participate in projects involving new systems, software, and site acquisitions.
- Collecting and verifying timesheets from all the sites: Ensuring all employee work hours are accurately recorded.
- Calculating wages: Determining the correct pay for each employee, including overtime, bonuses, and deductions
- Processing payroll: Entering data into payroll systems and ensuring timely payment to employees.
- Handling direct deposits and issuing checks: Managing electronic transfers and preparing paper checks if needed.
- Maintaining payroll records: Keeping accurate records of all payroll transactions.
- Ensuring compliance: Making sure payroll processes comply with company policies and government regulations.
- Preparing payroll reports: Generating summaries of earnings, tax deductions, and other payroll-related information.
You will need to have previous experience of processing a busy weekly and monthly payroll, someone who has worked within a team based environment and enjoys a busy but fun work atmosphere.
This role is based half in the offices in Birmingham and half based at home, you will be joining a wonderful established team who are looking to expand their team due to the business growing.
