Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their busy team on a temporary basis for 2-3 months
Duties include;
- Process monthly/weekly payrolls accurately using Midland iTrent payroll system
- Ensure all payroll inputs (salary changes, overtime, bonuses, deductions) are updated in the system
- Maintain and update employee records within iTrent (starters, leavers, contract changes)
- Ensure correct tax codes, NI categories, and statutory details are recorded
- Process changes such as promotions, hours adjustments, and salary amendments
- Administer statutory payments: SSP, SMP/SPP & ShPP
- Ensure payroll complies with HMRC regulations and UK legislation
- Manage auto-enrolment pension processes
- Upload pension files and reconcile contributions
- Deal with opt-ins/opt-outs and provider queries
- Respond to employee and manager queries related to pay, tax, and deductions
- Provide guidance on payslips and payroll processes
- Midland iTrent payroll experience (Essential)
- Strong UK payroll knowledge (HMRC, RTI, statutory payments)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in fast-paced environments
