Experienced senior payroll clerk for a Norwich business to help improve payroll reporting £30,000 - £35,000

Your new company
Hays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with a major Norfolk employer who are looking to expand their payroll team and require a payroll professional who is confident with payroll reporting.

Your new role
In this newly created payroll job based in Norwich, you will work closely with the payroll management team, reporting on payroll activity ranging from P11d's, gender pay reporting, pensions and using Business Objects to build new payroll reports. You will also lead on payroll projects which will require a high degree of payroll knowledge regarding payroll compliance processes, including internal polices and procedures. You will work closely with the HR Systems teams to ensure the smooth delivery of these projects and how the functionality of these new processes impacts across the business.

As part of the payroll project team, you will assist with the design, configuration and testing of these new payroll modules as well as making any recommendations on improving the processes and producing payroll analytics.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a confident payroll professional who has proven experience of processing high-volume and complex payroll data with a focus on payroll reporting covering things such as Gender Pay Reporting, Pension Re-certification, P11d etc. With your interest in payroll reporting, they are keen to use these skills to generate ad-hoc and new payroll reports for the business.

The core areas of business focus will cover subject areas including payroll reporting, reviewing payroll systems, being involved in payroll projects as well as analysing payroll data to identify anomalies and discrepancies. Therefore, this will be a varied, interesting and challenging senior payroll job.
