Your new company

Hays Education are proud to be working with a GOOD Ofsted-rated primary school based in South Coventry, known for a community-driven ethos and nurturing approach to education. With a strong focus on curiosity and independence, the school empowers both students and staff to achieve their best. They are now looking for a dedicated Year 2 teacher to join the team on a part-time basis from September, covering the full academic year. This has the potential to be either 0.6 or 0.8 FTE.


Your new role

  • Delivering engaging and creative lessons that align with the KS1 curriculum and support pupils’ developmental progress.
  • Cultivating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where children feel confident and motivated to learn.
  • Assessing student achievements and providing tailored feedback to enhance their educational journey.
  • Encouraging collaboration and active participation to develop strong foundational skills.
  • Working closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure students receive holistic support both in and outside the classroom.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant experience in teaching KS1, particularly Year 2.
  • A strong grasp of the curriculum with innovative teaching methods that engage young learners.
  • Effective classroom management skills, fostering enthusiasm and curiosity.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team and build positive relationships with families.
  • Passion, flexibility, and a commitment to making learning meaningful and enjoyable.
