Your new company
A large public sector organisation based in Co. Antrim who provide environmental services to the Causeway Coast area, including Food Safety, Consumer Protection, Pollution control, Licence and Permits, Health and Safety and Noise control. Have an immediate requirement for an Environmental Health Officer.
Your new role
This is a temporary contract position, ideally for someone who is available to commence immediately or at short notice. You will be based in Ballymoney and report to the Principal EHO. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week.
Duties and responsibilities:
Carry out the appropriate inspection; investigation; assessment or activity within defined Environmental Health functions.
The remit of this post may cover one or more of the service areas below in the first instance.
However, the post holder may be required to provide/develop expertise in any area listed as required to meet the needs of the service:

What you'll need to succeed
The Diploma in Environmental Health of the Environmental Health Officers' Registration Board (or its historical predecessors);
OR
A recognised Degree in Environmental Health awarded by an educational establishment in Northern Ireland, England or Wales, or a Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland Diploma;
AND
Ideally 1 year of experience and be able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge and understanding of current environmental health issues. With an understanding and knowledge of applying record keeping standards.
