Business manager required for SEND high school in Liverpool
Job Title: School Business Manager
Location: Liverpool, United Kingdom
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
Oversee the business and financial aspects of the school, including budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement. - Human Resources:
- Coordinating the recruitment process, managing staff sickness and return to work interviews, to support head teacher through all HR procedures.
- Policy Development:
Develop and implement school policies and procedures. - Team Leadership:
Manage and lead support staff, ensuring efficient operations. - Strategic Planning:
Work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to enhance educational outcomes. - Compliance:
Ensure adherence to legal, statutory, and health and safety requirements. - Estates Management:
Oversee facilities, maintenance, and health and safety.
Requirements:
- Experience:
At least two years’ experience at a senior level in education, financial management or HR. - Qualifications:
Educated to degree level (or equivalent). Possess a Level 5 Diploma for School Business Leaders or be a CCAB qualified accountant. - Skills:
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills. - Knowledge:
Familiarity with school systems, personnel management, and financial oversight.
