PFI Regional Manager , Wales & South West Coast

Your new role

The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall delivery of services within the Wales/Southwest coast region.
Reporting to the Head of PFI, the role will be responsible for operational delivery and client relationships, compliance and risk, financial, including commercial, stakeholder and people management.
There will be a key focus on leading a team with the professionalism and expertise to successfully deliver the contract obligations in this field within agreed budgets. The role partners with subject-matter experts for support in contract delivery such as commercial, finance, technical, SHE and HR.
  • Operational oversight: Lead the effective management and delivery of Hard and Soft FM services across the full PFI portfolio to ensure these are delivered to the agreed standards (KPIs and SLAs) across multiple sites.

    Responsible for the implementation of established policies and operational procedures to match the requirements of each contract.
  • Where required, ensure the successful re-mobilisation of contracts within the areas of responsibility. Ensure Integrated Management System is adhered to and any new policies, procedures and change processes agreed are implemented through the QA process to improve operational performance
  • Compliance management: Ensuring all PFI contract obligations, legal, health and safety, and statutory requirements are met and compliant contract service delivery plans are in place to give structure and direction to the contract teams across all sites. Regular audits of the Contracts to ensure compliance with all requirements of the PFI Contract and
    Processes are undertaken, and all actions are addressed.
  • Client relationship management: Acting as the main senior contact for public sector clients and building positive constructive relationships based on long-term partnership. Work closely with SPVs to ensure productive working relationships are developed that ensure the clear allocation of contractual responsibilities.
  • Performance improvement: Driving continuous improvement, resolving operational issues quickly, and implementing best practices across sites.
  • Ensure there are robust processes in place to monitor and report on contract performance against performance standards, which are reviewed and updated on a regular basis with support from the performance improvement manager.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Track record of success in delivering complex maintenance and repair service delivery within major contracts.
  • A good leader, commercially and financially astute and with the ability to provide positive leadership and clear direction to a wide-ranging team.
  • An experienced people manager who is emotionally intelligent to adapt their leadership style and has experience of managing complex employee relations processes.
  • Knowledge and experience of the commercial and legal structure of government contractual arrangements and CCS Framework.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing PFI/PPP contracts in a Health, Education and Local Authority environment.
  • IOSH Managing Safely and / or NEBOSH Certificate.
  • Demonstrative experience of successfully delivering Hard/Technical Facilities Management services at a senior management level.
  • A high-level understanding of spreadsheet and database applications.
  • High level of administration and organisational skills.Computer-literate Word, Excel, Outlook. CAFM desirable
  • Ability to travel across multiple sites and work with conflicting deadlines.
