Requirement for an Operations Manager in Lisburn

Your new company

You’ll be joining a long established and highly respected manufacturing organisation based in Lisburn that continues to invest, transform and grow. The business has an excellent reputation for quality, innovation and customer delivery and forms part of a large, successful global group. As a result, it benefits from the stability of an international organisation while retaining a strong local identity and close knit culture. Recent years have brought continued investment in people, processes and facilities, alongside strong order books and positive business momentum. Being part of a global group also creates genuine opportunities for career development and progression, both locally and internationally, making this an excellent time to join a site that is performing well and positioned for further growth.

Your new role

As Operations Manager, you will join the senior leadership team and take ownership of end to end operational performance across manufacturing, planning, procurement and site installation. This is a strategic yet hands on role where you will lead and develop multifunctional teams, drive operational excellence and deliver improvements in productivity, quality, cost and customer service. You’ll shape and execute the operations strategy, embedding a strong safety first and continuous improvement culture while ensuring production capacity, resource planning and supply chain performance are fully aligned with demand. Working closely with commercial and technical stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in supporting the site’s ongoing growth, strengthening customer delivery and building a highly engaged and capable workforce.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you’ll bring significant experience in an operations or manufacturing leadership role within a fast paced, engineering environment. You’ll have a proven track record of leading factory operations, improving performance against key metrics such as OTIF, cost, quality and efficiency, and managing complex planning and resource challenges. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality and safety systems, and experience working with ERP or MRP systems will be important, alongside the ability to influence at senior level and lead teams through change. Above all, you’ll be a visible, values led leader with a passion for developing people and building high performing teams.

What you'll get in return

In return, you’ll receive a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including 33 days annual leave, pension contribution and additional benefits. You’ll be given real autonomy and influence within a senior leadership role, with the support and backing to make meaningful improvements and leave your mark on the business. The organisation is well known for promoting from within and investing in long term careers, offering genuine progression opportunities locally and across a wider international group. You’ll also benefit from a supportive, inclusive culture where successes are recognised, people are developed and positive change is encouraged.
