Office Manager in Construction | Permanent Role | Start ASAP

We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected construction company that is continuing to grow. The business is now looking for a proactive, organised, and confident Office Administrator who can step in, take ownership, and bring structure into the heart of the office.

This isn’t just a “tasks and paperwork” role. This is a chance to become the central point of coordination, the person who keeps the wheels turning and ensures the team can focus on delivering exceptional projects.
This is a genuine opportunity to make the role your own, shape how the office operates, and become an essential part of the company’s success.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Overseeing the smooth running of the physical office — coordinating cleaners, maintenance teams, alarm providers, and ensuring everything is safe, tidy, and functional
  • Compiling and delivering O&M manuals for completed projects — a key part of the construction handover process.
  • Supporting the defects and aftercare function with accurate admin, tracking, and communication
  • Managing DBS checks for all staff members both in office and on site to ensure compliance.
  • Picking up additional tasks that were previously handled by the Office Manager, helping to centralise responsibilities and streamline processes
Why This Role Matters

  • Restore structure and consistency
  • Improve communication across the business
  • Ensure compliance and documentation are always up-to-date
  • Free up the wider team to focus on their core responsibilities
  • Create a smoother, more efficient working environment

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in construction is essential
  • Someone organised, proactive, and confident, taking ownership.
  • A natural problem‑solver who enjoys variety
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams
  • A positive, can‑do attitude
