Job Title: Corporate Tax Assistant Manager

Your new company

You will be joining a well-established and highly regarded professional services firm with a strong presence across Scotland and the wider UK. Known for delivering high-quality tax, audit, and advisory services, the firm supports a diverse client base including owner-managed businesses, larger corporates, and growing groups. You will work within a collaborative and supportive Edinburgh team where development is encouraged, and individuals are given the opportunity to build their expertise and progress their careers in a structured and inclusive environment.

Your new role

As an Assistant Corporate Tax Manager, you will support the management of a varied corporate client portfolio, focusing on delivering high-quality compliance work while gaining exposure to advisory projects. You will prepare and review corporation tax computations and returns, assist with tax planning assignments, and work closely with senior team members on more complex matters such as group restructures and transactions. You will develop strong client relationships, ensuring effective communication and timely delivery of work. Additionally, you will begin to take on responsibility for guiding junior staff, reviewing their work, and contributing to their development as you build your own leadership skills.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will be professionally qualified or nearing qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CTA), with experience in corporate tax gained within a professional practice environment. You will have a solid understanding of tax compliance and a desire to broaden your knowledge into advisory work. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines are essential. You should be a confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues, and you will be motivated to continue learning and progressing within the corporate tax field.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, along with flexible and hybrid working options to support a healthy work-life balance. You will benefit from ongoing training and professional development, with clear career progression pathways to manager level and beyond. You will gain exposure to a broad and interesting client portfolio, allowing you to deepen your technical expertise and advisory experience. This is an excellent opportunity for you to continue developing your career in corporate tax within a supportive, ambitious, and forward-thinking environment.
