Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00–17:00, Friday 8:00–14:30
Pay: £12.21 per hour (increasing to £12.71 from April 2026)

Overview
A well‑established organisation within the manufacturing and film‑technology sector is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Office Administrator to join the team on a temporary basis for 12 weeks. There is a strong possibility of a permanent role following successful performance.
The position involves coordinating production administration, supporting despatch operations, handling customer communication and maintaining accurate records. This is a hands‑on administrative role that requires accuracy, initiative and strong organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities
Production & MRP Administration
  • Enter completed production sheets into the internal MRP system with high accuracy.
  • Review production paperwork, correcting any errors where necessary.
  • Update MRP records with revised completion dates from the Production Manager.
  • Generate daily despatch reports through the MRP system.

Finished Goods & Despatch Support
  • Monitor completed jobs to ensure goods are dispatched in line with customer requirements.
  • Track aged stock and ensure call‑off dates are met within agreed timeframes.
  • Provide holiday cover for daily despatch duties, including maintaining despatch spreadsheets.
  • Confirm customer account status with Accounts before releasing goods for invoicing.
  • Enter delivery and pallet information into the haulier portal.

Customer Communication & Scheduling
  • Notify customers of order delays where necessary.
  • Book deliveries into shared Outlook calendars and manage internal scheduling.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and handle general enquiries.

Order Processing & Office Administration
  • Input customer orders accurately, ensuring correct pricing and capturing any additional charges (delivery, setup, etc.).
  • Complete daily filing and maintain organised administrative documentation.
  • Support the wider team with general office and administrative duties as required.

Candidate Requirements
Essential
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Professional, confident telephone manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively.
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work within a fast‑paced production environment.

Desirable
  • Experience within manufacturing, production, logistics or film‑technology environments.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
