Your new nurseries
We require Nursery Practitioners for Pre-Schools and Nurseries in the areas around Waltham Forest. We work with a large number of Early Years settings and, therefore, can offer you regular work. By working as a Nursery Practitioner, you have the flexibility on the days you wish to work, whether that is full-time or part-time. You can also choose if you would like to receive morning calls or to be pre-booked in advance.
The primary education team in London have a total of 30 years’ experience with some in the team with teaching experience. We understand what it is like in the classroom and will support you all the way through with up-to-date training and a dedicated consultant who will cater to your needs and call you weekly to see how your week has gone.
About your role as a Supply Nursery Practitioner
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high quality care, safeguarding and wellbeing of young children whilst ensuring that all policies and procedures are implemented at all times. You will also ensure all the children's needs are met and have a proactive approach to planning and implementing activities for the children. Some of your other duties will include:
- Preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
- Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health, and safety standards are met.
- Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
- Working within the framework of preschool's policies and procedures, and the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Developing and maintaining good communication with all members of the preschool and parents.
- Model good practice.
- Help keep the students on task and to build motivation.
What you will need to succeed
** Experience working within an Early Years setting
** Good behaviour management and organisational skills
** SEN experience
** You need to be flexible and willing to travel around the Waltham Forest area
** You must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS through Hays
