Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Customer Engineer to join our Desktop Support team. This hands-on role involves providing break-fix services for desktops and laptops, general IT troubleshooting, and maintenance across multiple customer locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware support and basic software deployment, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver desktop and laptop support, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and break-fix services.
  • Deploy and configure software using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM).
  • Set up mobile devices in line with company documentation and integration standards.
  • Perform fault diagnosis, activate network points, and carry out patching and cabling tasks.
  • Support small-scale office moves, including relocating IT hardware.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate with the scheduler to manage daily workload.
  • Update customer systems (e.g., Assyst, Remedy) with job details, asset data, and service status as required.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • HP Accreditation (mandatory) for authorized hardware repairs.
  • Proven experience in desktop/laptop break-fix support.
  • Familiarity with current Microsoft desktop operating systems.
  • Awareness of Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM) for software deployment.
  • Competence in basic network troubleshooting and fault finding.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
