Your new company
The Nursing and Midwifery Council is the largest regulator in the UK, and investigates claims pertaining to nurses and midwives. You will be a part of an integral team, focusing on collecting witness statements that will be used in the cases.
Your new role
To work through a backlog of work in the regulatory department; as part of a larger team of lawyers, Investigators and Paralegals.
The reason for the role is an increase in clearing reviews and a backlog of work
Main Duties:
- Take witness statements
- Gather and collate evidence
- Take instructions from Lawyers on case and investigation work
- Source documents
What you'll need to succeed
- Good communication
- Confident manner
- Draft statements and add to legal bundles
- Excellent drafting and written communications skills, with the ability to accurately reflect and summarise accounts.
- Experience of managing a case holding and competing priorities.
- Highly-motivated, enthusiastic, self-starter who is able to work independently and as part of team.
- Well-organised and pro-active, with the ability to be flexible and adaptable.
- Ability to problem solve, forward plan and forecast.
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity, confidence and professionalism.
- Patience and resilience in dealing and responding with pressured, unpredictable and changeable circumstances.
