Are you an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager looking for your next opportunity? We’re working with a well-established building services contractor that delivers mechanical projects across the retail and commercial sectors – from small maintenance works to major mechanical packages valued up to £1M. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to bring an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager into their team.
The Role
- Managing HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical plant installations
- Overseeing projects valued up £1m mechanical packages
- Leading new build developments, refurbishments, and planned/reactive works
- Preparing programmes, RAMS, method statements, and other project documentation
- Working collaboratively with electrical teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders
- Monitoring project progress and implementing corrective actions where required
Key Responsibilities
- Full cradle‑to‑completion management of mechanical packages
- Coordination across multi‑discipline project teams
- Attendance at site progress meetings
- Managing budgets, costs, variations, and commercial reporting
- Reviewing subcontractor quotations and appointing specialist partners
- Acting as the main point of contact for key retail clients
- Reviewing RAMS and permits to work
What We’re Looking For
- HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
- Proven experience managing mechanical projects
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Strong commercial awareness
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Full UK Driving Licence
- SMSTS / Manager‑level CSCS – Desirable
