Mechanical Estimator – Diverse Projects
Location: Derbyshire (with flexible office hours to dodge the traffic!)
Hours: 8am–4pm (37.5 hours/week)

Our clients are looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator who’s ready to get stuck into a wide range of exciting building services projects across the UK. From office fit-outs and leisure centres to schools, universities, and decarbonisation schemes – no two days are the same here.
What you’ll be working on:
- Projects ranging from £5k to £2m (combined HVAC, plumbing, heating, drainage)
- Sectors include: public sector, healthcare, education, leisure, warehousing, and more.
- Mostly Design & Build – you’ll need to understand the journey from concept to cost
- Estimating from a blank canvas using our in-house spreadsheet-based tools
- Close collaboration with PMs and clients – including the occasional MOD site
What we’re looking for:
- Solid experience in mechanical estimating (HVAC, plumbing, drainage)
- Comfortable working across multiple sectors – we don’t pigeonhole
- Able to interpret preliminary designs and turn them into accurate estimates
- Confident using spreadsheets – we’ve built our own estimating system
- Someone who can hit the ground running – we’re not looking to train from scratch
