Senior Mechanical Estimator - Birmingham - £40,000 to £55,000

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading provider of mechanical and electrical engineering services, specialising in the design, installation, and maintenance of building services. Our company prides itself on delivering high-quality solutions to clients across various sectors.

Your new role

As a Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing and overseeing accurate cost estimates for complex mechanical projects. You will review and analyse project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to ensure competitive and profitable bids. You will lead a team of estimators, collaborating with engineers, contractors, and clients to understand project scope and requirements, and prepare detailed estimates using specialised software. Additionally, you will identify potential financial or operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. You will also mentor junior estimators and contribute to the continuous improvement of estimation processes.

Extensive experience in the Building Services industry, particularly in roles such as Mechanical Design Engineering.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proven leadership and team management abilities.

Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
