An international heavy engineering company looking for a mechanical technician.
As a Mechanical Technician, your primary responsibilities will involve performing technical tasks within the maintenance team. This includes executing scheduled maintenance programs, promptly addressing breakdowns, and conducting statutory inspections, all meticulously documented through our SWM computer-based system. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining heavy machinery on-site, including pumps, mixing units, and hydraulic equipment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Execute technical tasks within the maintenance team.
- Perform scheduled maintenance programs.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns.
- Conduct statutory inspections.
- Document all activities using the SWM computer-based system.
- Maintain heavy machinery, including pumps, mixing units, and hydraulic equipment.
Qualifications:
- Relevant technical qualifications in engineering, mechanics, or a related field.
- Experience working with fabrication, pumps, mixing units, and hydraulics.
- Proven track record in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
- Overtime opportunities available on weekends.
