Role Overview
The Mechanical Design Engineer will take ownership of mechanical design elements within building services projects, contributing to the delivery of innovative, sustainable solutions. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design activities from concept through to completion
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions
- Oversee project delivery across healthcare, residential, and commercial sectors
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a supportive team environment
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and sustainability targets
- Prepare detailed design documentation, specifications, and technical reports
Candidate Profile
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical design within building services
- Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Proficient in designing software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES, and Hevacomp
