About Us:
Hays are working with a progressive and close-knit secondary level Pupil Referral Unit located in Wigston. The school provides inclusive secondary education for students with SEMH and behavioural difficulties who have been excluded from mainstream education. The school is small, with no more than 10 students and 10 staff members, allowing for ample opportunity for collaboration and progression.

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Maths Teacher to support the school until Christmas initially, with the potential to extend into 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching mathematics to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for the subject and helping students achieve their academic goals. This will include full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking.

Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Delivery:
Plan and deliver engaging and effective maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students. - Assessment:
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues. - Curriculum Development:
Contribute to the development and implementation of the maths curriculum. - Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being. - Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies. - Professional Development:
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in maths education. - Behaviour Management: Facilitate positive behaviour in and out the classroom by adhering to SEN policies and behaviour plans/IEPs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching maths at the secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development.
