Stores & Project Materials Controller | County Tyrone | Early Finish Fridays!

Your new role


As Stores & Project Materials Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring materials, stock and tooling are effectively managed to support production and project delivery.

Key duties include:

Project Materials Control:
  • Receive, check and allocate project materials in line with production needs
  • Pick and prepare materials according to Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Track material readiness across active projects
  • Identify shortages, delays or damaged goods before impacting production
Inventory & Stock Management:
  • Monitor daily stock levels of materials, parts and consumables
  • Carry out regular stock counts and cycle checks
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate system records and organised storage
Goods In / Goods Out:
  • Check all incoming deliveries against purchase orders.
  • Report any missing, incorrect or damaged goods
  • Control the issue and return of materials to/from production
  • Maintain stock integrity at all times
Procurement Support:
  • Identify low stock and raise purchase requests
  • Track deliveries and support supplier follow-up
  • Communicate material risks or delays to internal teams
Tool Park Management:
  • Maintain tool register and tracking system
  • Manage sign-in/sign-out procedures
  • Ensure tools are serviced, calibrated and certified
  • Identify unused or duplicated tools to improve efficiency
General Operations:
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse and yard
  • Support loading/unloading of materials
  • Operate equipment safely (e.g. baler)
  • Assist with occasional driving duties if required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in stores, warehouse or materials control (ideally in engineering/manufacturing)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
  • Experience with stock or inventory systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach
  • Experience with tool control or asset tracking (desirable)
