Interim Associate Finance Manager – Commercial FP&A

We are partnering with a globally recognised consumer products business whose market-leading brands are sold in more than 160 countries worldwide. With a significant international footprint, extensive distribution network and strong heritage of innovation, the business is seeking an Interim Associate Finance Manager to join its high-performing Commercial Finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant looking to develop their commercial finance and FP&A credentials within a multinational environment.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the heart of the Commercial Finance function, supporting key business decisions across the UK, Nordic and wider international markets. Working closely with Sales, Marketing and Commercial Leadership teams, you will provide meaningful analysis, forecasting and business insights that influence growth, profitability and strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will gain broad exposure to commercial FP&A activities, customer profitability, trade investment, budgeting, forecasting and business planning within a fast-paced global organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly forecasting, budgeting and annual planning processes.
- Partner with Commercial, Sales and Marketing teams to provide financial insight and decision support.
- Analyse market, customer and category performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Support the financial assessment of contract renewals, customer reviews and new business opportunities.
- Assist in managing customer, category and channel P&Ls from sales through to gross margin.
- Evaluate trade spend and promotional investment to maximise ROI.
- Support margin management and profitability improvement initiatives.
- Deliver insightful financial reporting and performance analysis.
- Assist with forecasting accuracy and commercial planning activities.
- Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes, systems and controls.
- Collaborate with international finance teams and centres of excellence.
About You
- Recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Experience within FP&A, Commercial Finance, Financial Analysis or Finance Business Partnering.
- Strong forecasting, budgeting and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
- Commercially minded, proactive and intellectually curious.
- Available immediately or at short notice.
