This company distributes over 2000 products throughout Ireland. They pride themselves on quality of service for their customers and creating a great working environment for their staff. They are recruiting for a Sales Manager. Salary for this role is £45k-£50k plus 10% bonus and company car.

Your new role
You will manage 2 business development managers and be responsible for a sales territory within 40 miles of Newry.

Duties include:
  • Support the team to exceed agreed territory sales and margin targets for the business.
  • Support the team in developing their territory, by securing new customers and develop existing business through supply and range extension to maximise cost efficiencies and profitability.
  • Support the team in maintaining all accounts within company credit terms.
  • Coach and develop sales team to drive profitable sales in key customer groupings.
  • Maintain territory management costs within allocated budgets, through good time management, resources management, and to ensure BDMs are using the most effective call pattern for each customer.
  • Ensure excellent customer service through friendly, accurate field communication and good administration practices.
  • Gather accurate and relevant information on competitor activity and other trade field information.
  • Complete relevant administration duties.
  • Lead and liaise with all internal departments and stakeholders.
  • Resolve conflict through motivation and negotiation.
  • Deliver and execute the annual commercial plan.
  • Project management responsibilities including the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope.
