Chartered Civil Engineer - Marine Infrastructure Design

We're hiring a Chartered Civil Engineer to join a large, national engineering design firm, with an office network around the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm that delivers a range of engineering design projects.
You will work on marine engineering projects, transforming ports and marine infrastructure to deliver offshore renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake the design and structural assessment of marine infrastructure.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, providing clear and professional technical guidance.
  • Review designs and drawings to ensure compliance with relevant standards, best practices, contractual requirements, and client expectations, maintaining high-quality technical delivery.
  • Ensure all work adheres to Health & Safety regulations, including CDM requirements and other applicable legislation.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of construction contracts and professional appointments, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
  • Use relevant engineering analysis and design software, including AutoCAD, with a continuous commitment to developing technical skills.
  • Attend and contribute to design reviews, site meetings, and site inspections.
  • Deliver work in line with agreed project budgets and programme deadlines.
  • Support business operations by preparing and managing technical documentation, including calculations and drawings, in accordance with company standards.
About You
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-graduate experience in civil or marine engineering.
  • Degree-qualified (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
