Assistant Management Accountant
Part‑Qualified CIMA / ACCA | Permanent | £35,000 – £40,000 (DOE) | Sheffield

Your New Role
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager and wider finance team in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information. Working within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, you will gain exposure to management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance, helping drive performance across the business.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs
  • Supporting annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles
  • Monitoring product costs, margins, and manufacturing variances
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Assisting with cash flow forecasting and weekly reporting
  • Supporting stock accounting, stock reconciliations, and inventory analysis
  • Helping prepare KPI reports for operational and commercial teams
  • Providing analysis to support decision‑making and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Supporting internal and external audit requirements
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency
What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Part‑qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) / actively studying
  • Experience in a finance role, ideally within manufacturing, supply chain, or construction
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • A desire to learn, develop, and progress within a growing organisation
