Your new company

Our client is a well-established business located in Rotherham, actively seeking a talented Management Accountant to support its continued growth and success.
Full-time | Permanent | Salary £45,000-£50,000 depending on experience

Your new role

  • Lead the preparation and posting of monthly journals, including accruals, prepayments, and other key month-end adjustments.
  • Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accurate cut-offs for sales and purchase transactions (AP & AR).
  • Produce and analyse monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reporting.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances.
  • Maintain robust financial controls in line with group policies
  • Oversee and support the purchase ledger, including invoice approvals and weekly payment runs.
  • Manage the fixed asset register
  • Provide monthly overhead analysis against forecast and budget, highlighting key variances and trends.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Part-qualified, newly qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), or qualified by experience
  • Strong knowledge of month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journal preparation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of financial reporting
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
