Overview
Join a rapidly expanding group of three main trading companies in the UK as an Assistant Management Accountant. The Role
You will assist in delivering accurate and timely management information while supporting strong financial controls. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the timely and accurate accounts processing across four companies within the group.
- Ensuring accuracy of trial balances in preparation for monthly management accounts.
- Reconciling key sections of the trial balance (e.g., payroll, PAYE, accruals, prepayments).
- Supporting Sales and Purchase ledger clerks to maintain accurate ledgers.
- Assisting the Financial Controller with management accounts, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes and annual audit preparation.
- Ensuring correct CIS treatment and Domestic Reverse Charge VAT where applicable.
- Performing general bookkeeping, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintaining good credit control practices and flagging collection issues.
- Carrying out ad-hoc finance tasks and analysis as required.

- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- A genuine interest in finance and management accounting where you will already possess experience at a similar level
