A great opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a luxury fashion retailer in London

Your new company
You will work for a prestigious luxury retail fashion company, renowned for their exquisite designs and exceptional customer service. This company has grown by 25% in the last year and has many exciting projects coming up.

Your new role
This is a newly created role which has come about due to business growth. You will work within a small, high-performing finance team, sitting under an impressive and ambitious Finance Manager and Finance Director. Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with streamlining processes to enhance financial performance
  • Provide support to the Junior Management Accountant and Finance Assistant, managing and mentoring two individuals, ensuring high performance and assisting with their career development
  • Providing support to external auditors, including assisting with the finalisation of statutory accounts
  • Business Partnering - Working closely with various internal stakeholders across multiple departments
  • Providing support for various projects, working closely with the Finance Manager and Finance Director
This is a progressive role with a clear progression path from management Accountant to Finance Manager (circa 18-24 months).

What you'll need to succeed
  • Recent, relevant experience working as a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant - you'll need strong accounting and double entry knowledge as well as month end close experience
  • Proactive and eager to learn; someone who wants to take the next step in their career and oversee a small team.
  • Previous people supervision experience (or being the 'go to' person) is advantageous (but not essential).
  • Retail/Fashion industry experience is advantageous (but not essential).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to consistently meet tight deadlines.
