Management Accountant
Salary: £36,000 - £43,000
Location: Bootle (Remote working, 1 day a month at the Bootle site)

My client is a UK independent regulator within the Nuclear Sector who help provide safeguarding and security across the Nuclear sector.
They are looking for a Part-Qualified or QBE Management Accountant on a 2 year FTC who will mainly be supporting the smooth and efficient operation of cost recovery process, and will be responsible for producing charges and dealing with external customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and disseminate monthly/quarterly regulatory recoverable income, working closely with stakeholders and handling charging queries.
  • Lead the invoicing process, ensuring timely and accurate charging breakdowns and invoices.
  • Produce and analyse monthly management information packs for Programme Managers.
  • Transition charging data into PowerBI for deeper insights and user-friendly presentation.
  • Assist in annual and mid-year charging forecasts and improve forecasting processes.
  • Support audits by providing evidence and demonstrations.
  • Maintain accurate records and reconcile miscellaneous income.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve charging and time recording issues.
  • Implement continuous improvements and innovative processes.
  • Provide expert advice and support on relevant projects and in meetings.

    Skills/Qualifications
  • Part-Qualified, or QBE
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and be familiar with Oracle SOP.
  • Strong analytical skills in interpreting and presenting financial and non-financial data.
  • Able to manage and prioritise own workload by delivering at pace in a busy changing environment, ensuring that strict deadlines are achieved.
  • Developed collaborating and partnering skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to proactively lead on a range of tasks.
  • Open to change continually looking for ways to improve current processes.
