Interim Management Accountant | Contract -12 months | £42-£48k | Onsite/Flexible working options

Your new company
Our client is a leading player in the manufacturing sector, renowned for delivering high-quality products and driving innovation across its operations. With a strong reputation and a commitment to excellence, they are embarking on one of their largest projects to date and require an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance function during a critical period. This is a 12-month contract starting immediately, offering on-site, flexible working. You will take ownership of financial management for one of the company’s biggest projects, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, and strategic insights to support decision-making.

Your new role
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Cost analysis and margin reporting.
  • Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and reconciliation.
  • Monitoring production costs and overhead allocation.
  • Stock valuation and inventory control.
  • Supporting project costing and profitability analysis.
  • Assisting with transactional finance tasks where required.
  • Supporting audit preparation and compliance activities.
  • Liaising with operational teams to ensure accurate financial data.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Part-qualified or finalist level (CIMA/ACCA).
  • Strong experience in management accounting within manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to manage WIP, stock, and project costing.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with finance and operational teams.
