Management Accountant - £42000 - £46000 - Belfast

Your new company
A well-established and highly regarded corporate business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services. The business operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and places a strong emphasis on accuracy, client service and continuous improvement across its finance function.

Your new role
As Management Accountant, you will play a key role within the finance team, producing accurate and timely management information while supporting both strategic decision-making and day-to-day financial operations.
You will be responsible for preparing management accounts, variance analysis and departmental reporting, alongside delivering regular financial reports to stakeholders. You will analyse financial performance, billing data and fee earner metrics, presenting insights clearly to non-financial colleagues.
In addition to core management accounting duties, you will take ownership of billing activities, ensuring invoices are produced accurately and in line with client and firm requirements. You will also support key finance processes including journals, reconciliations, payroll inputs, VAT returns and audit preparation.
This is a broad and hands-on role where you will provide cross-cover for other finance team members, including credit control and accounts support, ensuring continuity during busy periods and absences. You will also contribute to process improvements, compliance requirements and maintaining robust financial controls.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong experience in management accounting and financial reporting.
You will have advanced Excel skills and experience using finance systems, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
You will be adaptable, organised and capable of managing competing priorities in a busy environment. Previous experience within a law firm or professional services setting, as well as exposure to billing, credit control, payroll or VAT processes, would be advantageous.

What you'll get in return
You will have the opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative finance team within a reputable business. This role offers a varied workload, exposure to different areas of finance and the chance to develop your skills in a professional services environment.
The firm offers a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and play an integral role within the finance function.
