Management Accountant | Blackburn | Permanent: Full-time | Up to £45,000 (depending on experience)

Reporting to the Group Accountant, the Management Accountant will provide accurate financial reporting, analysis, and insights to support strategic decision-making. This role combines traditional management accounting responsibilities with a focus on cost analysis and systems development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Analysis & Control: Conduct detailed cost analysis, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure accurate cost allocation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and financial forecasts.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial projections.
- Systems Development & Integration: Improve financial systems, implement automation, and ensure data integrity.
- Performance Monitoring: Track financial KPIs, analyse trends, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Year-End Processes: Assist with audits and statutory reporting requirements.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Qualifications: Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
- Experience: Proven experience in management accounting, costing, and financial systems.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage, SAP).
- Manufacturing Experience: Understanding of manufacturing cost structures is highly desirable.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication & Leadership: Ability to present financial information clearly and collaborate across departments.
- Deadline Management: Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
