Maintenance Helpdesk Administrator wanted in Northfleet

Maintenance Administrator
Location: Northfleet
Contract Type: 3 months temporary contract
Hours: Full-Time
DBS Requirement: Enhanced Children’s DBS Required

About the Role
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and knowledgeable Maintenance Administrator to join our clients team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth running of their facilities' helpdesk function and supporting the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance services.
The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, maintaining performance standards, and supporting our operational teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate all helpdesk activities, including logging, tracking, and closing PPM and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting in line with contractual and statutory requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring performance against contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and site staff to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
  • Support the management team with data extraction, analysis, and reporting from maintenance systems.
  • Ensure all processes are compliant with safeguarding expectations, including maintaining an active Enhanced Children’s DBS.
Experience & Skills Required
✔ Extensive knowledge of helpdesk operations, including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance workflows.
✔ Experience using MRI Evolution, with the ability to navigate, update, and run reports confidently.
✔ Strong understanding of Private Finance Initiative (PFI) arrangements, particularly relating to performance management and associated KPIs.
✔ Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
✔ Strong IT skills with good attention to detail.
✔ Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Attributes
  • Experience in a facilities management or building services environment.
  • Previous involvement in compliance monitoring or contract administration.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
