Your New Role
The Maintenance Technician / Engineer supports planned maintenance activities to ensure the upkeep of buildings, landscapes, factory and offices in line with the operational activities of the business. The primary focus is on ensuring the maximum uptime on machinery whilst ensuring the machinery runs consistently to the highest tolerances and minimum waste. They also ensure the effective resolution of maintenance problems as they arise in line with the company's preventative maintenance plan including fault-finding, breakdown repairs and supports the external maintenance program.
Whilst on shift your core duties/responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Involvement in all projects concerning buildings and site infrastructure • Ensure all engineering maintenance work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation • Repair production equipment to current Company standards to optimise performance of production machinery and ancillary equipment • Plan for and assist with the installation of new or relocated machinery / equipment • Ensure Equipment is properly set up and maintained, monitoring performance and carrying out fault diagnosis and running adjustments/repairs as required • Maintain accurate and organised records of your work, both written and electronic.
What You'll Need To Succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:
ESSENTIALTo have completed an approved apprenticeship with the relevant Level 3 Mechanical/Electrical Qualification or an engineering qualification • At least five years post apprenticeship experience in a mechanical and/or electrical hands-on maintenance and/or engineering role • Experience in problem-solving and rectification on a variety of equipment/machinery • Experience and understanding of electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems • Experience of fault-finding using wiring diagrams • Knowledge of electro/mechanical equipment • A full, valid driving licence • Excellent communication and people skills • Strong organisational, planning and time-management ability • IT literate (Proficient in MS Office) • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative • Previous maintenance experience in a factory environment • Physical agility and manual dexterity.

For working a highly attractive days pattern from Monday - Friday you will earn a comprehensive salary of up to £38000. An element of on call will be required but this is on a rota.
