With a growing portfolio of sites across London, the business is expanding its maintenance team and is now seeking a reliable and versatile Maintenance Operative to support day-to-day operations.
Your new role
This Maintenance Operative role involves carrying out a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks across client properties. You’ll work both independently and alongside specialist engineers to ensure buildings remain in excellent condition.

- General repairs across plumbing, carpentry, painting, and basic electrical tasks
- Routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Responding to reactive maintenance requests (e.g., fixing leaks, replacing fixtures)
- Assisting specialist engineers or technicians
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
What you'll need to succeed
Typical Qualifications
- City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in:
- Building Maintenance
- Multi-Skilled Operations
- A specific trade (e.g., plumbing, carpentry)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Maintenance Operations or Facilities Services
- May also have completed a multi-trade apprenticeship
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in general building maintenance
- Ability to carry out basic repairs across multiple trades
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- Awareness of health & safety and compliance standards
