The role will primarily focus on wet plumbing maintenance within commercial buildings, specifically in healthcare settings, and will involve a variety of general plumbing tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations across the site, focusing on wet plumbing systems (including pipes, taps, showers, and other water-based systems).

- Conduct inspections, diagnose plumbing issues, and carry out repairs and upgrades as necessary.
- Work as part of a team to ensure compliance with all maintenance schedules and health and safety standards.
- Manage the maintenance of water tanks, pumps, and general plumbing infrastructure.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as requested by the facilities team.
- Maintain records of work carried out and ensure all activities are documented accurately.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in commercial plumbing: You should have hands-on experience with wet plumbing systems in a commercial setting, with a preference for those who have worked in healthcare environments.
- Plumbing qualifications: You must hold relevant plumbing qualifications, such as a Level 2/3 NVQ in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent.
- Healthcare maintenance experience: Experience working within a healthcare setting (e.g., hospitals, hospices, clinics) is ideal due to the specific requirements of plumbing maintenance in these environments.
- Skills & Knowledge: You will have solid knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, maintenance, and the ability to troubleshoot and fix plumbing issues efficiently.
- Health & Safety: A strong understanding of health and safety standards and best practices, particularly in the healthcare sector, is essential.
- Team player: You must be able to work collaboratively as part of a facilities team, but also independently when required.
- Proactive approach: A strong work ethic and the ability to identify issues before they become major problems is highly valued.
Additional Information:
- This is a temp-to-perm position, meaning after an initial temporary period, there is the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.
- You will be joining a friendly, supportive team that is dedicated to providing essential maintenance in a healthcare setting.
- Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
