Head of Maintenance

Your new company

An innovative UK-based manufacturer operating at the cutting edge of advanced engineering and materials technology. With a strong focus on high-performance solutions and continuous improvement, the business is committed to developing sustainable manufacturing practices and empowering its teams to deliver excellence. The company culture is built around collaboration, ambition, and trust — creating an environment where bold thinking and operational discipline thrive.

Your new role

As Head of Maintenance, you’ll take ownership of the maintenance function across a complex manufacturing site, ensuring maximum equipment reliability, plant uptime, and safety compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage a multi-skilled team and drive the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies, including Preventive and Autonomous Maintenance.
You’ll oversee a wide range of production assets — including CNC machinery, thermal-processing equipment, and combustion systems — and lead planned shutdowns, improvement projects, and daily operational reviews. Your work will be critical in supporting On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) delivery and driving continuous improvement across all plant operations.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machinery and high-temperature equipment.
  • Hands-on expertise in TPM, Preventive Maintenance, and CMMS systems.
  • Solid understanding of combustion safety and burner management.
  • Clear communicator with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive salary: £60,000 - £65,000
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • An additional day off for your birthday
  • Confidential employee assistance programme for physical and emotional wellbeing
  • Death-in-service benefit
  • Opportunity to lead in a forward-thinking manufacturing environment focused on innovation and operational excellence
