Your new role
Working for this organisation, you will be required to be a competent and experienced facilities assistant looking for a 3 month contract with the potential of a Temporary to Permanent position opening.
- Ensure building users have everything needed to perform their roles by maintaining a clean, safe, warm, and well-lit environment. Manage access by holding keys and unlocking/locking premises between 7am-6pm, with occasional out-of-hours support for contractors and reception cover.
- Oversee statutory compliance and preventative maintenance, proactively identifying risks and ensuring timely completion. Maintain health and safety standards, advising building users accordingly.
- Support property improvement projects to enhance asset life cycles and reduce environmental impact. Assist with procurement processes to ensure value for money, including obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders, and checking invoices.
- Prepare reports and dashboards to monitor performance and drive excellent customer service. Collaborate across teams to implement improvements based on customer feedback.
- Manage access passes, fobs, car park users, and locker allocations, maintaining accurate databases. Perform minor repairs such as lamp changes, lock lubrication, and fault investigations.
- Early shift = 6.30am – 2.45pm
- Late shift = 9.45am – 6pm
- 5 days onsite
- Keyholder for the business so requires reliability
What you'll need to succeed
Adaptable to a varied workload with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay focused.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
Capable of lifting and carrying equipment and setting up meeting spaces, with aids provided for heavy items.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems for access control and maintenance reporting
Flexible and responsive to the needs of customers and team members.
Hands-on approach to building faults, knowing when to involve specialists.
Deliver excellent customer service with strong complaint-handling skills to achieve positive resolutions.
- Possess outstanding communication abilities and a genuine enjoyment of working with people.
