Your new company

You will be joining the estates team at one of the largest employers in the Edinburgh area. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add an electrician on a long-term maintenance contract.

Your new role

You will be working as part of the wider trades team undertaking all aspects of electrical building maintenance in commercial buildings such as office blocks, leisure facilities & retail units. This may include: emergency light inspection & testing, fault-finding, diagnosis and repair of electrical installations, reactive maintenance work as well as planned projects here required. The working week is Monday to Friday with some potential for weekend overtime where required.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to provide a valid ECS card graded to Electrician or Approved Electrician, and ideally you will have experience in a similar position. A driving licence is desired for this role. However, due to the work being in Edinburgh City Centre, parking cannot be provided. This role will involve interaction with members of the public, therefore you will be expected to be respectful & well-mannered at all times.

What you'll get in return

You will be offered a long-term contract via Hays and be paid directly with no weekly charges and the option for paid annual leave. Hays will pay you weekly, and you will receive regular updates from your Hays consultant.
