Your new role
As the Logistics Manager, you will take strategic and operational ownership of end‑to‑end logistics activity. You’ll be responsible for planning, controlling, and optimising logistics operations to support seamless nationwide delivery. There is a need to be in the Birmingham office Monday to Friday which will then revert to hybrid working post-probation. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing all logistics operations with strong commercial and governance controls
- Overseeing inventory planning to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excess
- Monitoring and reporting on KPIs such as delivery accuracy, turnaround times, inventory accuracy, and cost efficiency
- Building strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers to support service excellence
- Producing clear performance, risk, and improvement reports with actionable recommendations
- Driving continuous improvement through process optimisation and digital tools
- Collaborating across the business to align priorities and support successful operational delivery
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management
- Strong analytical and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to present data clearly and professionally
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership capability and confidence engaging with operational teams and senior management
- A degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management (or working towards one) is highly desirable
