Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering exclusively with a leisure/hospitality SME based between Cheltenham & Gloucester, Gloucestershire to recruit a dynamic, experienced & hands-on Part-Time Finance Manager. Reporting directly to the MD, this is a varied accounting role responsible for all accounting functions for the business, building relationships at all levels both internally and externally. Open to finance professionals who are part-qualified/qualified or qualified by experience really looking to add value in an all-encompassing finance role. Flexible working hours on offer.
Your new role
Your key duties will involve the production of management accounts, completing balance sheet reconciliations with full supporting schedules, daily cash/credit card sales reconciliations, bank reconciliations, along with annual/monthly cash flow forecasting with daily updates to track cash performance. You will present financial performance and KPI’s to senior management, year-end preparation along with analysis, budgeting/forecasting preparation and quarterly VAT submission. You will have full purchase ledger management including supplier payment runs and raising invoices, along with credit control processes and monthly payroll processing with related duties such as PAYE, pensions and reconciliations. You will support in the management of contracts register for the business, annual insurance renewals, resolving any finance queries and partner with the General Manager/MD assisting in ad-hoc projects/duties.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this hands-on and varied Finance Manager role, you will need experience within a similar position, used to working autonomously, managing workloads to meet deadlines. You will be qualified by experience or part-qualified/qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with strong interpersonal skills to build internal and external relationships. You will have a customer focussed approach, a high level of detail and accuracy, along with being adaptable to business needs. You have a good level of MS excel skill along with being trained in financial systems. Experience with Sage Cloud systems, using Direct Debit systems, along with a leisure/hospitality sector background within small/medium-sized businesses would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return
This permanent Finance Manager role offers a salary between £40,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependable on experience) pro-rata over 30 hours houre week, based between Cheltenham and Gloucester, Gloucestershire. Ideally, an on-site-based position, but one day remote working can be offered once settled into the business, flexible working hours, parking on-site, contributed pension scheme, discounts on products/services, along with the opportunity to really take ownership and control of the financial processes for a well-established business within an interesting sector.
