Your new role
You will be supporting board and committees across the organisation, ensuring the smooth running of governance processes and high-quality reporting. Key responsibilities include:
•Managing the annual board and committee calendar•Leading end-to-end board and committee meeting processes, including agenda setting, stakeholder liaison and attendance
•Drafting high-quality minutes, accurately capturing decisions, discussions and actions
•Maintaining governance documentation such as terms of reference, constitutional documents and reserved matters
•Tracking actions and ensuring timely follow-up and reporting
•Delivering board and committee effectiveness reviews, from planning through to reporting and presentation
•Supporting governance life cycle activities such as audits, AGMs and shareholder processes
•Enhancing templates, processes and reporting standards to improve efficiency and quality
•Acting as a key point of contact for board and governance-related queries
•Supporting governance input into financial reporting where required
•Championing good governance through training, guidance and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
•Strong understanding of governance practices and ideally, some exposure to company law
•Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage complex workloads in fast-paced environments
•High attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong sense of ownership
•Confidence working with senior stakeholders and the ability to challenge appropriately
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•A proactive, curious mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving
• Proven experience supporting boards and committees within a governance or company secretariat function
• Experience gained within a regulated financial service, listed or complex multinational environment
• Experience using governance systems or document platforms
