Job Title: Legal Secretary – Conveyancing Team
Location: Berkshire (Small Firm) Salary: £30,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Office Based
About the Role
We are a small, friendly law firm based in West Berkshire seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Conveyancing Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a professional yet supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to solicitors and fee earners within the conveyancing department.
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports related to property transactions.
- Manage diaries, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
- Handle incoming calls and emails, ensuring excellent client care.
- Maintain and update case files and client records accurately.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties.
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and general office administration.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within conveyancing.
- Strong knowledge of property transaction processes and legal terminology.
- Excellent typing and IT skills (Microsoft Office proficiency essential).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
- Professional, discreet, and client-focused approach.
