A well-established public sector organisation based in the Southside of Glasgow is seeking an experienced and organised Administrative Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis for an initial 6–9 month period. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy and supportive environment, providing key administrative support to a range of departments and stakeholders.
Your new role
As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day administrative activities. Working as part of a collaborative team, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to colleagues and service teams
- Managing inboxes, correspondence and telephone enquiries
- Scheduling meetings and appointments, including diary management
- Preparing documents, reports and meeting materials
- Updating and maintaining accurate databases and records
- Processing information and ensuring data is kept up to date
- Supporting the organisation of meetings and events
- Handling general office administration duties as required
- This is a part-time position offering flexibility across the working week.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience working within a public sector environment would be advantageous but is not essential
