Your new company

A well-established public sector organisation based in the Southside of Glasgow is seeking an experienced and organised Administrative Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis for an initial 6–9 month period. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a busy and supportive environment, providing key administrative support to a range of departments and stakeholders.

Your new role

As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day administrative activities. Working as part of a collaborative team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to colleagues and service teams
  • Managing inboxes, correspondence and telephone enquiries
  • Scheduling meetings and appointments, including diary management
  • Preparing documents, reports and meeting materials
  • Updating and maintaining accurate databases and records
  • Processing information and ensuring data is kept up to date
  • Supporting the organisation of meetings and events
  • Handling general office administration duties as required
  • This is a part-time position offering flexibility across the working week.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Previous experience in an administrative or office support role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience working within a public sector environment would be advantageous but is not essential
