Your new role
As Legal Cashier, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR), and supporting the wider finance function. You’ll be joining a well-established team that values accuracy, teamwork, and continuous improvement. This role will be reporting to the Head Cashier.- Processing client and office account transactions
- Managing bank reconciliations and payment runs
- Handling incoming/outgoing funds, including CHAPS and international payments
- Posting bills, disbursements, and credit notes
- Ensuring compliance with SAR and internal controls
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes
- Liaising with fee earners and support staff to resolve queries
- Assisting with VAT returns and financial reporting
What you'll need to succeed
- 1+ years’ experience working within a law firm in their finance team
- Strong working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Proficiency in legal finance systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments
