Your New Job
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist secondary school in Stockport as a Learning Support Assistant (SEN). Initially offered on a temporary basis, this role has strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You will support students aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, working in small groups to deliver tailored educational and behavioural support. This role is ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing, specialist setting. Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting pupils with complex needs including ADHD, Autism, and trauma-related behaviours.
  • Assisting in lesson delivery and therapeutic activities.
  • Promoting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Collaborating with external agencies and internal safeguarding teams.
  • Contributing to EHCP reviews and transition planning.
