Year 5 Learning Support Assistant – Islington

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work with a Year 5 class.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in their academic and personal development, working closely with the class teacher and SEN team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to Year 5 pupils.
  • Assist in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities.
  • Support pupils with additional needs, including those with EHCPs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting, ideally in KS2.
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
