1:1 Teaching Assistant - SEND Support (Male Pupil)
Your new company
A primary school in the Penwortham area is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for a male pupil with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As a Hays Education consultant, I’m working closely with the school to identify someone who can make a genuine difference to this child’s learning experience.
Your new role
- Providing personalised learning support throughout the school day
- Helping the pupil develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENDCo
- Supporting emotional regulation and social development
- Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience supporting children with SEND (school-based or transferable experience)
- A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
- Availability for a full-time, long-term role
