1:1 Behavioural TA - Thornton-Cleveleys

Hays Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Thornton‑Cleveleys area, and we are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Behavioural Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to a pupil with additional behavioural and emotional needs.
Your new role
In this rewarding long‑term role, you will work closely with a primary-aged child who requires consistent guidance, emotional support, and structured behaviour strategies to help them engage positively with learning.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the pupil with emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Implementing personalised strategies and targeted interventions
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo
- Encouraging positive learning behaviours and resilience
- Building a stable, trusting relationship to promote engagement and progress
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience supporting pupils with behavioural, SEMH, or additional needs
- A calm, resilient and empathetic approach
- Confidence in de‑escalation and behaviour management
- Strong communication skills and a nurturing mindset
- A genuine commitment to helping children thrive
- An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one through Hays)
