A public sector organisation in London is looking to recruit a Lead Project Manager for their Capital Works team to assist on a variety of different projects, at different phases. The organisation's offices are based in a very commutable location with excellent transport links for both buses and trains. A public sector organisation in London is looking to recruit a Lead Project Manager for their Capital Works team to assist on a variety of different projects, at different phases. The organisation's offices are based in a very commutable location with excellent transport links for both buses and trains. The role itself is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from home as and when needed.
Your new role
- Produce and manage the programme for the future state of one of the depots
- Manage the urgent propping works, and pull together and manage the other works ongoing onsite, including substation works
- Work with relevant teams in capital delivery, operational property, building control, waste team etc.
- Coordinate the other stakeholders that are supporting various options such as potential alternative depot options.
- Manage any procurement and contracting of surveys and any design and/or relevant expertise.
- Be responsible for producing any relevant reports and business cases in a timely fashion.
- Be responsible for the management of relevant stakeholder meetings, including lead member briefing, Project Board, and Team meeting.
- Be responsible for the management of all the budgets for projects on site.
- Keep project/ programme documentation up to date.
What you'll need to succeed
- Preferably experience having managed the delivery of similar projects in the public sector– delivering, Depot options for a public sector organisation or similar sized projects, otherwise major projects of 20M+
- Experience of resident engagement
- Good programme management skills, including keeping documentation up to date, risk registers, briefings, business cases, cashflow/ budget monitoring etc
- Experience in regeneration/development through RIBA stages 0-7 and providing evidence for strategic decision-making about the use of assets.
- MRICs/CIOB/ RIBA/ Civil or Structural Engineering/ RTPI qualified and/ or substantial experience (10+ years)
